THE PROCESS
At Ethical Yacht Wear, we believe that crew uniforms shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet or the people who make them.
Operating within two industries known for their environmental impact – garment manufacturing and yachting – we set out to do things differently. Our mission is simple: to create high-quality yacht uniforms that are as responsible as they are refined.
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. From the very beginning, we choose materials that make a difference. Our garments are made using 100% organic cotton – grown without toxic pesticides or harmful chemicals – and innovative recycled fabrics used across our shorts, skorts, swimwear, sportswear, and outerwear collections.
But we take our responsibility beyond fabrics. We partner exclusively with factories that meet strict environmental and social standards, combining thoughtful design, low-impact production methods, and efficient manufacturing processes. Every step is carefully monitored to ensure it meets our commitment to sustainability.
We are equally committed to the people behind our products. Every individual involved in the production of our garments is treated with respect working under safe conditions with fair wages and reasonable hours.
And of course we never package our orders in plastic.

TAKE BACK & GIVE BACK
At Ethical Yacht Wear, our responsibility extends beyond the delivery of your uniform. We offer a considered, closed-loop system designed to reclaim and regenerate your uniforms, ensuring nothing is wasted, and everything has purpose.
A Circular Process:
Give Back: Your used uniforms are sent back to one of our Ethical Yacht Wear Hubs, which we hand over to our partners at Gaia Circular.
Sorting: Each garment is assessed and separated by material and composition.
Regeneration: The textiles are broken down and refined into reusable raw fibres through an advanced recycling processes.
Recreation: These fibres are re-spun and re-engineered into premium fabrics.
Reintroduction: The materials return to production – reborn as high-performance, responsibly crafted work wear, socks, roads and other items.
Give Back:
We don’t just stop there, we also give back a percentage of profits from every sale to ocean clean up.
We have so far sponsored the removal of over 1 MILLION plastic bottles out of our oceans. We help pay people in poorer coastal communities to pick up plastic as jobs in exchange for life improving benefits. This circular system stops ocean plastic and aids in improving world poverty.
