Palma International Boat Show 2025: Progress, Partnerships & Positive Change

Over the last few years, we have had the privilege of attending various yacht shows worldwide, not just to showcase our sustainable apparel but also to actively support and drive forward a range of environmental initiatives within the superyacht industry. We have supplied event uniforms, led conversations, and participated in seminars, and we are very proud to be playing a part in shaping a better future for yachting.

Our latest show on our sustainable mission-driven journey was the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), which took place from 30 April to 3 May. The show kicks off the Mediterranean season in the Balearics, and we were excited to be at the heart of it, championing sustainability and having those all-important conversations.

New, Sustainable Look

A major highlight for us this year was our partnership with the show as one of the chosen apparel suppliers. Ethical Yacht Wear provided the event team with uniforms made entirely from sustainable materials that were stylish, professional, and functional.

After successfully providing organic long-sleeved polos for team members during the Superyacht Forum during METSTRADE at the end of last year, we were excited to be asked to provide uniforms for the Palma Boat Show for a second year in a row. It is clear that events across the yacht show circuit are now prioritising eco-conscious uniforms, and we are truly honored to be leading this shift with them.

Sustainability Corner, Returns

Following last year’s successful debut, the Sustainability Corner returned to the Superyacht Square area of the show and once again proved to be a hub of positive energy, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas.

This sustainability focus highlights the industry’s continual efforts to embrace better, eco-friendly solutions. Ethical Yacht Wear hosted the Corner and was joined by like-minded companies: Yacht Carbon Offset, Quay Figures, and Deep Details.

The space showcased tangible solutions and services for making yachting greener. Yacht Carbon Offset provides carbon offsetting services to the industry to help counterbalance the environmental impact of the industry’s unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions. In terms of product offerings, Quay Figures presented their recycled performance shorts created specifically for women, not only offering sustainable alternatives but also advocating for greater inclusivity and comfort for women in the industry. The sustainable eco-friendly product supplier Deep Details was also part of the Corner, with a wide selection of their products.

These companies, meaningful partnerships, and initiatives continue to prove how small shifts can lead to significant industry-wide changes.

Plastic Free Progress

Once again, at the show, the Clean Wave movement brought further sustainability initiatives and implemented reliable water refill stations, helping combat single-use plastics, which is typically an issue at these major events.

A simple yet effective sustainability initiative that we wholeheartedly support, Clean Wave’s efforts made it effortless for exhibitors, crew, and visitors to stay hydrated sustainably. These water stations were another powerful yet practical reminder that everyday solutions can make a huge difference.

Greener Conversations

What felt especially exciting this year was how sustainability has successfully moved from a niche talking point to a central theme over the years. The appetite for conscious alternatives is growing, and fast. Alongside the buzz within the Sustainability Corner, another new, dedicated space was the Superyacht New Build Hub.

Adding to the sustainability momentum, our founder, Lauren, was also honoured to speak at various panels and sessions. Firstly, on the Wednesday of the show, she spoke at the Acrew sustainability panel to kick off discussions. On the Saturday, Lauren was part of the keynote sessions, ‘Sharing Ideas That Matter,’ alongside other industry changemakers. Conversations covered everything from sustainable innovation to the power of collaborations, reminding us all that change happens when ideas and communities come together.

Until Next Time

To everyone who stopped by the Sustainability Corner, shared ideas, and supported our wider mission of reducing the industry’s environmental impact, we want to thank you. We had such inspiring conversations with other businesses, owners, and crew who are all actively seeking out better alternatives, and it’s great to return from a show feeling such positivity.

The Palma International Boat Show 2025 was proof that progress is possible and is happening. We are incredibly proud to be part of this movement driving yachting toward a more sustainable future.

See you at the next show!
